Our Story

Built By The Movement It Now Broadcasts

Watchmen Action Network did not start as a television idea. It is the last piece of something RC Williams and Julianna Ormond had been building for years, one season at a time, until a broadcast network was the only thing left to build.

Where It Started

Before there was a network, there was Sherloc, a strategic intelligence and behavioral marketing firm RC Williams and Julianna Ormond co-founded together. For years they built a track record of reading mergers, Supreme Court rulings, and major social and political shifts before they broke into headlines. While everyone else reacted to the news, RC and Julianna were reading the data underneath it. The more they turned that lens on the faith community specifically, the clearer one gap became: people who cared deeply about their communities, with nowhere to plug that conviction in and nothing concrete to do about it.

The Seasons That Built It

RC and Julianna took over the Orlando chapter of 1 Million Cups and ran it for three years, growing it to nearly 100 people a week. Hundreds of entrepreneurs came through the process and went on to scale, raise capital, and exit successfully. But what they kept observing was that once a week was not enough.

That observation became The Lab Orlando, a community resource center in downtown Orlando. They signed the lease the week before COVID shut everything down. They opened anyway, and operated through it.

The writing came next: Ripped From The Headlines and We Are The Watchmen Weekly. Then the broadcast voice: The Watchmen Brief, followed by The Culture Crossroads, reaching more than 100,000 homes every month. Watchmen Action Network is what anchors all of it.

What Watchmen Action Is

Watchmen Action is the movement the network exists to serve. It operates through two entities: Watchmen Action, Inc., the 501(c)(3) training and education arm, and Watchmen IN Action, the 501(c)(4) civic engagement and advocacy arm.

The problem it was built to solve: people who want to act on what they see happening in their communities, but are not organized, not equipped, and not connected to anyone who can help. Watchmen Action closes that gap with a training curriculum that gets people ready to advocate in a day or less, and a train-the-trainer model that multiplies through the people it equips.

Equip

A curriculum built to get people ready to advocate in a day, not a semester.

Multiply

Every trained advocate can train others, so growth does not depend on headquarters.

They did not build this from the outside looking in. They built the tools, ran the model, lived every season, and launched Watchmen Action because they were called by their Heavenly Father to do it.
